The Challenge

The agricultural sector in India faces significant challenges with traditional warehousing and trading systems. Farmers struggle with price transparency, access to financing, secure storage facilities, and efficient logistics. The main challenge was to create a mobile app that could digitize the entire agricultural supply chain while remaining simple enough for farmers with varying levels of digital literacy. We needed to integrate complex features like real-time market bids, warehouse management, inventory tracking, and instant financing while ensuring the app works seamlessly even in areas with poor internet connectivity.

Our Solution

We developed a robust Flutter-based mobile application integrated with Firebase for real-time data synchronization and MySQL for structured data management. The app features an intuitive interface with vernacular language support for better accessibility. We implemented offline-first architecture allowing farmers to access critical information even without internet. The trading module provides real-time buyer bids through Spot-Based Trading (SBT) and Warehouse-Based Trading (WBT), ensuring farmers get the best possible rates. Smart notification system alerts users about price changes, payment updates, and storage conditions. Integration with payment gateways ensures fast and secure transactions within dedicated timelines.
